HEY! DON'T GIVE UP!

INSPIRE!
HEY! DON’T Give Up.
She was born in Elba, Alabama on 27 February, 1933. She was the oldest of twelve children.
She was a Daughter, Sister, Niece, Aunt, Wife, Sister-in-law, Mother, and Grandmother. She was a mother of six children.
She lived in several cities and states from Elba, Alabama. Birmingham, Alabama. Orlando, Florida. and Fort Walton Beach, Florida. Which she called home.
She was a dedicated Christian, with a strong belief in God and Church. She was a hard worker, starting out by farming in the fields of Alabama. She worked at factories and plants to provide for her family. Her greatest love was caring for others. She became a caretaker, and worked at nursing homes. And later became a live-in-nurse.
She Never Gave UP!
I believe her love to care for and help others, came from when she had to put everything aside and care for her oldest son. Who had total kidney failure and had to be dialyzed daily.
She Never Gave UP!
She had to be trained on how to dialyze her son. So she attended extensive schooling and training to become a Blood technician. She dialyzed and care for him until he passed.
She Never Gave UP!
She later married, her husband became Ill and had to be cared for. She provided care for him and stayed by his side until he passed.
She Never Gave UP!
She continued to work hard and care for elderly as a live-in-nurse. She was diagnosed with Breast Cancer in 1999.
She Never Gave UP!
She didn’t want anyone to know. She kept it to herself. She continued to work and care for others. She did all she could to take care of her children and grandchildren.
She Never Gave UP!
She always had an open house; a warm meal if you were hungry and a place to stay if needed. Her brothers and sisters could come to her for comfort and advice while she continued to be a special friend. She passed away June 8, 2000 from complications of Breast Cancer.
She was my MOMMA! Mrs. Darcie Lee Stoudmire (Brooks).
So if you know a Daughter, Sister, Niece, Aunt, Wife, Sister-in-law, Mother, and Grandmother that’s battling Breast Cancer or any Cancer or Illness. Give them the Love and Support and remind them.
